Sweethearts at Pi Gamma!

Within the last few weeks we have had two sisters become Sweethearts for fraternities on campus! This makes our total of Sweethearts here at Pi Gamma now THREE! Our chapter has more sweethearts than any other sorority on campus. These women were chosen by their respective fraternity chapter because they are the women who best represent what the fraternities hold near and dear to them.
Sweethearts at Pi Gamma: Amelia, Rachel, and Taylor

Rachel Williams, is the Sweetheart for Alpha Tau Omega. She is a sophomore here at UNM and is studying Political Science and International Relations. She plans to attend law school once she has graduated from UNM. Rachel is the Vice President here at Pi Gamma while also being a Senator for ASUNM (UNM's student government) and a Resident Assistant for Resident Life! She is widely involved on campus but makes time for her ATO's!

Amelia Linde, is the Sweetheart for Sigma Chi here at UNM. The Social Chair here at Pi Gamma, Amelia just put on an amazing White Carnation Ball. She is a sophomore and is currently studying Business and Political Science. Amelia is also involved in various things on campus such as: Cultural Director of ASUNM, Internal Associate Director of Lobo Dance Marathon, and Lobo athletics. As busy as Amelia is with school and campus involvement, she finds time for her Sigma Chi's.

Taylor Aragon, is Kappa Sigma's Sweetheart. Taylor is the Philanthropy Chair here at Pi Gamma, and is planning great events for us to raise money for Make-A-Wish. She is a sophomore and is studying Broadcast Journalism and American Studies. No matter how busy her schedule may get, she always makes time for her Kappa Sig's!

White Carnation Ball 2013

This past weekend we celebrated our seniors at White Carnation Ball. With everyone in all white except our seniors and their dates, we jumped on buses and headed to our Ball location. This year our White Carnation Ball was at the Hotel Parq Central Albuquerque, being the first greek organization to ever use this location we were especially excited and blown away by how beautiful it was. Our Social Chair, Amelia Linde, and her social cabinet did a wonderful job putting together this last hoorah for our seniors. A red carpet entrance with "paparazzi" and a photo both including silly props topped off this wonderful event! We will gladly miss our seniors, but we are so proud to see them graduate and move on to the next chapter in their lives.

Eleusinian 2013!

Celebrating 118 Years!

On April 5, 1895 our amazing sisterhood was officially formed. Looking back over the years, Chi Omega, especially Pi Gamma, has flourished. We now have 176 chapters located nationwide and over 300,000 active members! Wow! The five founders would be so proud if they could see how much Chi Omega has grown.
This last week was Initiation Week for Pi Gamma. We had five lovely ladies join our sisterhood today, and we could not be more excited to welcome them into our Pi Gamma family! After initiation festivities concluded, the women of Pi Gamma got dressed up and readied themselves to celebrate a big birthday!
Pi Gamma celebrated the 118th birthday of Chi Omega today at Eleusinian. Eleusinian is the celebration of Chi Omega's Founder's Day; the day Chi Omega was founded. The active members of the chapter gathered with Pi Gamma alumni, who shared stories about their days in Chi O, their fondest memories and friendships between sisters that are just as strong today, as they were all those years ago. A few sisters of the Active and the Alumni chapter were recognized for their achievements throughout the last year and given awards. Bonding between the active and alumni chapter made the day full of laughs, jokes, and new friendships made. Here's to another 118 years and more Chi Omega!
