5K Color Run Benefitting Make-A-Wish

The wonderful ladies of Chi Omega volunteered their time early Saturday morning to both participate in as well as help work the 5K color run at Balloon Fiesta Park.  Both actives and new members alike were spotted throughout the event grounds!  Pi Gamma of Chi Omega is so proud to be a partner organization with Make-A-Wish and loves to help out in anyway to support such a wonderful cause.  Stay tuned for the next color run hosted by the our chapter coming soon!

Bid Day - "We Picked the Best"

The SUB was filled with suspense as women lined up to receive their bids from the respective sororities.  Rho Gamma and Chi Omega, Monica McClung, welcomed each new Chi Omega sister into the room and the senior pledge class greeted them with a cheer and hugs!  When all of the new Chi Omegas received their bids, all them made their way down to Greek Row where the rest of the sisters were ready with open arms.  Lunch was served and the Photo Booth was in full swing before we took off to an alumnae's house for a Pool Party celebration!

Fall Recruitment 2014

From August 9th-12th, the Panhellenic women of the UNM Greek Community welcomed over 150 women to see what Greek Life had to offer!

To prepare for the Recruitment festivities, Chi Omega participated in a week of preparation!  Each day had it's theme where girls were encouraged to dress accordingly.  It was a perfect way to reconnect after a summer apart and to have quality time before welcoming a whole new pledge class into the chapter.

When Pre-Rush came to an end, it was time to start the formal Recruitment process!  The first day we asked the women to imagine "adding another chapter to their story" as they met a few women from each organization.  For the second day, Chi Omega threw a Carnival and welcomed each woman for a House Tour of our newly renovated home.  For Philanthropy Night, we showcased our National Philanthropy of Make-A-Wish and even put on a little skit to highlight the perks of being a Chi Omega!  For the final evening of Preference Night, women got the final taste of Chi Omega before selecting the sorority that they would be joining for life!
